I have learned what Social Studies is to the first civilizations in history. One of the first things I have learned was Social Studies means the study of people and how the interact with one another. There are 8 disciplines of Social Studies, anthropology, psychology, sociology, government, economics, religion, geology, and history. I have learned in the Stone Age, the early humans made tools like today before technology. For instance, early hominids use rocks to cut or break something, but now we use saws, knifes, drills ect.. I also learned the differen Stone Ages, the Paleolithic Era and the Neolithic Era. The Paleolithic Era had early hominids, early tool making, with hunters and gatherers. The Neolithic Era had early humans that learned agriculture(farming+domestication of animals) which cause them to have a stable food supply. In addition, I also learned about the formaion of the first city-state, Sumer. Mesopotamians had many difficulties, however all the soulutions led to the formation of Sumer. To conclude, I have learned a lot in just three months from my awesome teacher, Mrs.Mondragon, about the start of humans. I predict that my class will learn so much more later this year, with lots of fun, based on how much I have learned so in 6th grade.
